Open Source

we build in the open too.

Some of the problems we solve are useful beyond a single product or client project.

When an internal tool, integration or infrastructure component can be useful to other engineers, we prefer to turn it into something reusable and release it openly.

Our open-source work is another way we test ideas, expose our engineering to scrutiny and contribute back to the ecosystems we work in.

current projects

PUBLIC REPOSITORY

heic-web

HEIC support for modern web applications.

A library for working with HEIC images in browser and web environments where native support is limited or inconsistent.

The project grew out of a practical product need and was turned into reusable infrastructure for other developers facing the same problem.

react-native-nearby-interaction

Nearby Interaction support for React Native.

A React Native library for building applications around Apple's Nearby Interaction framework.

It provides a bridge between native platform capabilities and React Native applications for proximity-aware experiences.

keycloak-oid4vp

OpenID4VP wallet login for Keycloak.

A Keycloak extension that requests credentials from a digital identity wallet with OpenID4VP and DCQL, verifies SD-JWT VC and mDoc presentations, and maps the disclosed claims into a normal Keycloak login.

Issuer trust can come from X.509 certificates, ETSI trust lists including the EU list of trusted lists, VICAL, did:web or did:webvh. Wallets can also answer in the same browser through the Digital Credentials API. Applications keep their existing Keycloak integration. Version 0.2.0 supports Keycloak 26.8 and documents its trust limitations.

eudi-disclosure-policy

Data-minimization checks for OpenID4VP requests.

A TypeScript library and CLI that checks a DCQL request against a policy for one purpose before a verifier sends it to an EUDI Wallet. Every alternative the wallet could choose is evaluated, including optional credential sets, so a compliant first option cannot hide a request for more data.

It supports SD-JWT VC and mDoc, reports what it cannot determine instead of allowing it, and runs in CI with stable rule IDs. It is an early preview and does not verify relying-party registration or replace legal review.

identity infrastructure

keycloak-oid4vp is the first part of our digital identity work released as open source. It adds wallet login to Keycloak, so existing applications can accept verifiable credentials without changing how they integrate.

eudi-disclosure-policy works one step earlier, on the verifier side: it checks that a credential request asks only for what its purpose needs before the request reaches a wallet.

It covers

  • Keycloak
  • OpenID4VP
  • DCQL
  • SD-JWT VC
  • mDoc
  • Digital Credentials API
  • X.509 and ETSI trust lists
  • VICAL
  • did:web
  • did:webvh
  • Data minimization

More identity tooling will follow where it solves a real implementation problem.

Our goal is to release components that solve real implementation problems rather than publishing reference code that is never used outside a demo.

03

why we open-source

Solve the problem once

When we encounter the same engineering problem across products or projects, reusable infrastructure is often better than repeatedly rebuilding the same solution.

Make the implementation inspectable

Open source gives other engineers the ability to understand, test and challenge the work.

Improve interoperability

Standards become useful when independent systems actually work together.

Give something back

We rely heavily on open-source software ourselves.

04

more is coming

Expect more around

  • Digital identity
  • EUDI
  • Privacy infrastructure
  • Developer tooling
  • AI infrastructure
  • Cross-platform software
  • Distributed systems

We would rather publish a small number of useful projects than maintain a long list of abandoned repositories.
